What is Workload view?
Workload view helps you see who's working on what, how much work each person has planned, and whether your team has enough capacity to complete it.
It combines scheduled Jira work items with team members' working hours to help you build realistic resource plans.
Add team members to the timeline
Open the Workload tab in Planyway.
Open Users in the resource panel.
Select the team members you want to display.
Add or remove users as needed.
By default, the resource panel shows users from your connected Jira spaces.
Display workload indicators
Click Capacity to show workload indicators above the scheduled work items.
These indicators help you identify overloaded team members and available capacity.
Connect Jira spaces
You can manage resources across multiple Jira spaces in one Workload view.
Open the data sources panel.
Connect the Jira spaces, boards, or filters you want to include.
Review the work items from the connected sources.
Schedule work
Jira work items with mapped scheduling dates appear on the timeline automatically.
To schedule an unscheduled work item:
Find it in the Task Panel.
Drag it onto the timeline next to the appropriate team member.
Drop it on the desired start date.
Stretch the work item to adjust its duration.
Dropping a work item into a user's lane also assigns it to that person.
Adjust the timeline scale
Use the timeline zoom controls to switch between daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly planning.
Apply filters
Use filters to focus on specific projects, work items, team members, or other Jira information.
Filtering helps you create a focused resource plan without changing the underlying Jira data.
