Project planning

Set up the Workload view to schedule tasks, manage resources, and monitor team availability across Jira projects.

Set up the Workload view

Understand how Planyway calculates workload and uses capacity indicators to show whether team members are overloaded or available.

How workload is calculated

Choose how Planyway distributes estimated task hours across the available working days.

Workload distribution: Even vs. Filled

Connect Planyway workload estimates with Jira estimation fields to keep your planning data aligned.

Sync estimates with Jira

Configure working hours for different team members to calculate resource capacity accurately.

Custom workload schemes

Vacations, public holidays, sick leave, and other absences reduce the amount of time a team member can work. Planyway accounts for these non-working days when calculating available capacity.

Vacations and holiday schemes

Split a single Jira work item between multiple contributors without creating additional Jira subtasks.

Multi-allocation

Group team members to monitor overall team capacity and manage workloads across multiple teams.

Team capacity

Share your team's resource schedule and capacity overview with colleagues or external stakeholders.

Sharing your resource plan

Use the Workload Report to understand how your team's planned work compares to the time available to complete it.

Workload report

Learn how to plan team capacity, balance workloads, manage schedules and time off, and allocate work across teams and individuals.

Resource management

Log the time you spend on Jira work items without switching between Jira and Planyway.

This prototype demo is aware that you are reading “{title}”. It can point you back to the current article, but a production article-aware Fin contract is still follow-up work.

Prototype article-aware answer

Because you already asked about invitations, this prototype demo can add the follow-up: use the role selector before sending each invite to limit access to the teammate responsibilities.

Prototype role-limiting follow-up

This prototype demo suggests starting with your workspace profile, inviting the team members who need access, and then connecting the integrations you use.

Prototype getting-started answer

In this prototype demo, integrations are configured from workspace settings. Choose the integration, connect the account, and review the enabled permissions.

Prototype integrations answer

In this prototype demo, invite teammates from workspace settings, then choose the access each teammate needs before sending the invitation.

Prototype invite-team answer

This prototype demo does not have a scripted answer for that question yet. Try asking how to invite your team or open a source article. No production Fin API was called.
