Google Calendar sync issues

If Trello cards are not showing in Google Calendar or syncing incorrectly, use the steps below to troubleshoot the problem.

Google Calendar does not sync at all

Use this section if no cards appear in Google Calendar or the integration does not seem to work.

✔ Check the Google Calendar integration

Open the integration settings and check that your Google account is connected. If the calendar is not connected, add it again.

✔ Reconnect Google Calendar

If cards are not showing in Google Calendar, try reconnecting the integration:

  • Disconnect Google Calendar from Planyway.

  • Connect it again.

  • Check if the cards appear after sync.

This often helps resolve temporary sync issues.

✔ Check the connected Google account

Make sure you are using the correct Google account in Planyway and Google Calendar.

If the wrong account is connected, cards may sync to a different calendar or may not appear where expected.

Google Calendar syncs with issues

Use this section if some cards appear in Google Calendar, but the sync is delayed, incomplete, or the data looks incorrect.

✔ Wait for sync to complete

Changes made in Trello or Planyway may take some time to appear in Google Calendar. If the card was created or updated recently, wait a little and check the calendar again.

✔ Check where the cards were created

Cards created in Trello should sync to Google Calendar. Changes made in Planyway can also sync, but they may take time. If some data is missing, check where the card or event was created.

✔ Check calendar filters and settings

If only some cards are missing, check your Google Calendar settings.

Make sure:

  • The correct calendar is selected.

  • The calendar is visible.

  • No filters or view settings are hiding events.

  • You are checking the correct date range.

✔ Check calendar sharing settings

If the issue is related to shared calendars, make sure:

  • The calendar is shared with the correct account.

  • The account has the right access permissions.

  • You are using the same Google account in Planyway and Google Calendar.

Calendar sharing does not work

Check the sharing settings in Google Calendar. Make sure the calendar is shared correctly and that the required account has permission to view or edit events.

If the issue continues, contact support and include:

  • Whether Google Calendar does not sync at all or syncs with issues.

  • The Google account connected to Planyway.

  • Whether the issue happens with all cards or only some cards.

  • Whether the calendar is shared.

  • A screenshot of the calendar and integration settings.
