Calendar

Visualize your Jira work items in a calendar to organize daily tasks, track deadlines, and coordinate your team's schedule.

What is Calendar view?

Calendar view displays scheduled Jira work items in a familiar calendar format. It helps you see what's planned for each day, manage deadlines, and coordinate work across multiple projects.

Set up Calendar view

  1. Select the Calendar tab.

  2. Connect the Jira spaces, boards, or filters you want to display.

  3. Choose the calendar period you want to review.

Scheduled work items from your connected sources appear automatically when their dates are mapped correctly.

Schedule work items

There are several ways to schedule work directly from Calendar view.

Drag and drop

Move an existing work item to another date or time slot to reschedule it.

Resize work items

Drag the edge of a scheduled work item to change its duration.

Create new work

Create a work item directly on the calendar by selecting the desired date or time.

Display due dates only

If you want to focus on deadlines rather than task durations, you can configure Calendar view to display Jira work items by their Due date only.

This is especially useful for tracking upcoming deadlines without having to set both start and end dates for every work item.

View work across multiple projects

Connect multiple Jira spaces to see work items from different projects in one calendar.

This helps you coordinate overlapping schedules and understand upcoming deadlines without switching between Jira projects.

Display subtasks

You can display subtasks alongside their parent work items to get a more detailed view of scheduled work.

Filter your calendar

Use filters to focus on relevant work items.

For example, you can filter by:

  • Assignee

  • Work item type

  • Status

  • Label

Filters help you create a personal calendar or focus on a specific team or initiative.

Color-code work items

Use color-coding to distinguish different work item types and make your calendar easier to read.
