Workspaces

Workspaces allow you to save your Planyway settings and share them with other users.

Each Workspace stores the selected view, filters, data sources, and other display settings. This helps you quickly switch between different configurations and ensures that your teammates see the data the same way you do.

Creating a Workspace

When you open Planyway for the first time, you will be prompted to create a

Workspace. You can also create additional Workspaces at any time.

Once a Workspace is created, all configuration changes are automatically saved within it.

What is stored in a Workspace

A Workspace stores:

  • the selected view (Calendar, Roadmap, Workload, and others);

  • filters;

  • data sources;

  • display settings;

  • other interface preferences.

When you switch between Workspaces, your saved settings are automatically restored.

Sharing a Workspace

You can share a Workspace with your teammates using a link.

When a user opens a Workspace via a shared link, they receive the same view configuration, including filters and display settings. This allows team members to work with the same data perspective and makes it easier to stay aligned when discussing projects and tasks.

Workspace ownership and access

Each Workspace has an owner — the user who created it.

The owner can:

  • modify Workspace settings;

  • share the Workspace with other users;

  • delete the Workspace.

Users who access a Workspace through a shared link can:

  • open the Workspace;

  • adjust settings locally for themselves;

  • use their own filters and views.

Changes made by guests do not affect the original Workspace and are not visible to other users.

Leaving or deleting a Workspace

The Workspace owner can delete a Workspace at any time.

Users who joined a Workspace via a shared link can leave it. However, each user must always have at least one Workspace in their account.
