The Workload Report helps you understand how your team’s scheduled work compares to their available capacity. It gives project managers and team leads a clear view of whether the current plan is realistic and whether team members are overloaded or underused.
Report columns
The report compares three key values:
Scheduled work — the amount of work already planned for a team member within a selected period. This is based on scheduled Jira issues.
Capacity — the amount of time a team member is available to work during the same period. Capacity is based on working hours, vacations, and holidays.
Scheduled vs Capacity — the percentage of a team member’s total capacity that has already been planned for the selected period.
How to read the report
If scheduled work is higher than capacity, the team member may be overloaded.
If scheduled work is lower than capacity, they may have available time for more tasks.
If scheduled work matches capacity, the plan is balanced for the selected period.
