Workload report

The Workload Report helps you understand how your team’s scheduled work compares to their available capacity. It gives project managers and team leads a clear view of whether the current plan is realistic and whether team members are overloaded or underused.

Report columns

The report compares three key values:

  • Scheduled work — the amount of work already planned for a team member within a selected period. This is based on scheduled Jira issues.

  • Capacity — the amount of time a team member is available to work during the same period. Capacity is based on working hours, vacations, and holidays.

  • Scheduled vs Capacity — the percentage of a team member’s total capacity that has already been planned for the selected period.

How to read the report

  • If scheduled work is higher than capacity, the team member may be overloaded.

  • If scheduled work is lower than capacity, they may have available time for more tasks.

  • If scheduled work matches capacity, the plan is balanced for the selected period.
