Calendar view

Use Calendar view to record and review time entries directly on a calendar.

What is Calendar view?

Calendar view displays your logged time in a visual schedule. Instead of entering all your hours in a list, you can create time entries directly on the calendar and see how your working day was spent.

Log time with drag and drop

You can drag a Jira work item from the task panel directly onto the calendar.

Planyway creates a time entry associated with that work item. You can then adjust the duration to match the time you spent.

Adjust time entries

Resize a time entry on the calendar to change its duration. You can also open an entry to update its details, subject to Jira permissions.

Use all-day entries

You can create a work log in the all-day section of the calendar. All-day entries have a duration but don't specify a particular start and end time.

When to use Calendar view

Calendar view is useful for:

  • Logging work at specific times.

  • Reviewing how your day was spent.

  • Creating entries through drag and drop.

  • Finding gaps in your daily time tracking.
